Carl W. Schweikert, Broker

Carl W. Schweikert, Broker was raised in Naperville, Illinois, and spent every summer of his young life in Hayward on Spider Lake, where his parents had a summer cabin. Carl attended and graduated from The University of Illinois-Champaign. Upon graduation Carl served as a career Army officer for nine years which included a tour in Viet Nam. In 1979 Carl and his wife Inge purchased their own lake property on Spider Lake.

Following a successful 18 year career with his own commercial real estate business as a national real estate commercial site re-locator for one of the largest retailers, he fulfilled his dream of moving his family to Hayward, making their summer home their permanent residences. 

He immediately started selling recreational real estate in 1992 and his commitment to quality service, exceptional work ethic, and unique familiarity with all of the lakes of the Hayward Area earned him the respect of his fellow brokers and many satisfied clients. 

An entrepreneur, Carl successfully partnered with Lakeshore Development and Lakeshore Realty and later accepted family ownership of Lakeshore Realty, well known for its full-service real estate services, specializing in lakefront property.  Carl’s commitment to every client is to “work with you, for you, and according to your wishes."  Today, Lakeshore Realty is now home to three additional broker and sales agents offering residential, commercial and off water property. 

When he’s not busy finding the perfect property for his clients, Carl, an avid outdoorsman, enjoys the challenge of Muskie fishing and hunting – perhaps the secret to Carl’s uncanny familiarity with the beautiful Hayward Area.  Carl resides in the Hayward Area with his wife Inge.
